I got started on the upholstery tonight as well, i'm planning on a hour or so every night as it is fairly tedious work. I started by picking out the stitching on the original cover so i could use the parts for patterns. Then i made my own piping using the original rope and left over blue sunbrella fabric i have from my cedar strip.

I turned out pretty friggin good for a first attempt, if i do say so myself. I think it will really clean up the look of the boat.

I want the boat back together in 2 weeks, so i have been hauling ass on it. More to come soon. . .

Update:

Got the boat back in the water, all that's left is to finish the carpet and upholster the bench seat. I cold seized the engine the other night, but the the bores still look great so I'm just going to put new rings in it. I had been having lots of little tuning issues and when i finally got it running like it should the impeller let go and plugged up my cooling system. It sure moved though, took about a second to get on plane and go.

More pictures to come,

Luke

Just wanted to post the final pics of the boat. I finished it towards the end of August and used it at least 2-3 nights a week to go out skiing until the middle of October. Skiing wasn't too much fun after the temps dropped past 45F.

Pretty happy with the outcome:
