FREE 230 Enforcer on CL

Cadman, I don't know....if the floor, transom and stringers are solid it might be a good project. Especially, if you could get the guy to throw the interior in on the deal. Find a used Bravo l/u, build a crate motor up, exhaust, steering, set of tabs, blower, set of gauges and wiring harness, and a 100 other odds and end parts= a BOAT!

If you did most of the work, ow much money do you think it would take to make it a descent boat again????

I think if the floor transom and stingers are good, i could have a jam up boat for 4-5 grand, most of which would be in motor and driveline, but then I would be doing all the work myself.... I am strongly thinking about this myself, but I keep coming back to the rationale that I dont need to be spending the money on another boat right now... but it is so tempting.... I do think I have seen pictures of that boat on here before too...Man a Blown 502 in that thing would be so much fun!!! Gears already turning in my head, that need to stop before I drive halfway across the country to get another hole in the water for my money....lol

Smart move on the bank, not taking it. Title can be gotten around. Boat looks in decent shape. A motor and interior are just phone calls away. But that windshield, might be hard to come by.

Coop, I think you are right.....the windshield would be the hardest thing to replace on that boat.

Gotta keep repeating to myself: There's no such thing as a free boat. There's no such thing as a free boat. There's no such thing as a free boat.

How could I get the title?

I've heard of places that will do it for you, don't know any details but an online search might find them. I imagine they register it in a state that doesn't require titles and then transfer the registration to you, but just guessin'. I gotta' wonder if the bank lein would complicate things though.

There are ways to get a boat registered, but they are all pretty shady, I wouldnt want to risk it.

If somebody really wanted it, they could contact the lender, but then its no longer free.

Also I wouldnt have faith in anything the owner had to say. What kinda guy strips a boat to get some cash instead of just letting it go??

Getting the title would be the easy part.....

Please explain or how about this I have a boat I need paper work for I will give you 250 bucks if you get me clean paper work. I also have the former owners name and paper work showing no leins or taxes are owed on the boat.

I dont care if the paper work has your name on it :bigthumb:

The ONLY way in Ohio is to title it as a home built. They inspect it, make sure its not got a HIN number on it and if all checks out, they issue a HIN number and a title for you. The down side is it would then be a "BIG RED RIDER" make and a "CONFEDERATE 235" model!

Looks like the last 2 enforcers from Texas were used and abused! However, mine came from there and it was mint.

Yellow you can do that just about anywhere, also just make sure you sand out that vin good...lol...

LOL!!

The other option involves hiring a auctioneer and advertising a public auction on the watercraft. blahhhhh blahhhhhh blahhhhh:brickwall: Major deal that takes months and months to go through. Don't know why they just cant do like abandoned cars. Certified letter, a few days, new title printed up!
