Depending on the paint look to spend between $1200 on up to--well lets just say way up there.
On my little 16' trimate I am looking at about $1300 in just material.

i have worked in auto body shops for years do not use a base coat clear coat on a boat the clear will lift in a season or two shoot it with a single stage paint like utec. utec will hold up i painted my other boat seven years ago and it still looks new. im painting my enchanter next week with utec i will send pictures. well for now its miller time

I've owned a bodyshop for 26 years. I do alot of custom paintjobs on the Liberator and Checkmate boats I sell. I always use basecoat clearcoat and NEVER have a failure. Use only three coats of a high-solids clear. That will be plenty thick. You can check out some of my boat paint work on my websight. Click on "CUSTOM PAINT JOBS" when you get to it. It's http://liberatorfl.tripod.com
