Thanks Chris. That means a lot coming from "DA MAN". It's great to have a place to share, learn and oogle the other "Mates"...

Yep!! I have to agree, that is one great looking Checkmate. I love the way it sits in the water. Hang on to that bad boy!

Jim

P.S. Are there any action shots?

New Years Day and 72 degrees in Richmond....Took the boat out for a little ride. Awesome way to start the New Year. Hope everyone else had as good a day..... Stay tuned for a few pictures :thumb:

Hi HemiBee, the only place it's 72 degreee's up here is in the Kitchen !!. For now, we have to "live" through you folks who are fortunate enough to have boating weather the entire Year.

The Toronto Boat Show is coming up in another couple of weeks so we're getting closer.

Take Care

Bruce

Oh yes, now that is a classic!!! Love that design and glad to see you have kept it in mint condition, as far as these peepers can tell...what a beauty, I bet you will be hanging onto that classic for a while!!!

Black Pulse

p.s. I haven't been to the TO boat show in a few years but plan on going this year. Will there be Checkmates represented? Anyone know?

Hi BP, with respect to the Toronto Boat Show, there hasn't been any for a couple of years now, Pride of Muskoka used to bring a few but since they are not involved with Checkmates anymore that has dried up.

One never knows, I believe we have 2 dealers now in the province, one for sure is Lake and Trail and I thought I heard one of the dealers towards the Muskoka's were beginning as well.

I just doubled back into one of the other message areas. The other dealer was New Ark Marina, I just looked at the web site for the boatshow and New Ark is listed as one of the exhibitor's, I'll shoot them an e-mail and see what's up.

As discussed many times before here on the board, it's very very expensive to show up at the boat show, huge overhead, one would have to really really sell a lot of boats to make it worth while.

Still worth going to "poke' around though, lots to see !!!

Bruce

HemiBee;

That Mate of yours is the coolest one I've ever seen. I love the black twins on the back too. Looks like you had perfect conditions to open her up too.

Thanks Jim, It was a really nice day... I always try to take a boat ride on New Years Day. I've been lucky the last 7-years to have had decent enough weather. Got to keep the tradition alive.

Another 68 degree day today. And.....RAIN,RAIN, RAIN on Saturday! Oh well, Spring will be here soon enough.

Sounds like you guys are getting pounded in the Mid-West.....Stay warm
