Hi to all

Welcome Heavy Metal, boat looks great plus I noticed your wifes cowboy
hat matches the boat and the motor, very cool.

All I appreciate the great welcome! Wrenchmate, I noticed her hat matches too. I forgot to ask her if she did that on purpose. She is from Austin TX, so she has a lot hats and boots. lol...

Check185, I noticed you also have an 1850. I looked it up and your boat is very sharp as well! I wonder if we have the only two here on the fourm?

Thanks, jjg has a 1850 also. Yellow and black with a 175 4st..

::me and dave must have hit post at the same time..lol::

Nice looking boat, Heavy!

You might want to check your trailer because I don't believe C-Hawk ever made an aluminum trailer......they are painted steel. Not very good with the salt water.

Good luck-

The trailer looks very c hawk ish. Way the bow stop is made, fenders, running boards, little light in steps, all look very similar to mine..

C-Hawk does not build many aluminum trailers. Mine may be one of a few. It is in fact a C-Hawk according to all the paper work, MSO, registration and the dealer I bought the boat from. The factory uses a different brand of trailer now, but I wanted a C-Hawk and paid the difference for the upgrade. It took them quite awhile to build. The big hold up was having to send out for hot dip galvanize. The trailer is a mix of galvanized steel and aluminum.

I am so happy I went with C-Hawk. The boat fits the trailer like glove and loads and unloads the boat like greased butter!

Wow, I didn't know CHawk made aluminum trialers now. You are right, Heavy.....CHawk makes an awsome trailer for Checkmates.

Not sure on speed yet. Over 55 mph on short bursts. Still learning how to drive it and breaking in the motor. I saw yours is around 63 mph? Fast on the water!

Do you have Livorsi gauges? The only issue I am having is with the Fuel Gauge.

I got livorsi's. They were a little tricky to set, i never got the fuel guage to read right. It is close tho. It just stopped workin on me the other day, gona have to see whats wrong.

Im barely runnin 67 now, making a prop change shortly. hopefully gain a few.
O and going by the book breaking the motor in is hard to do..For me at least. Mine probably isnt broken in to spec..:D

Check, I know how hard it is to follow the book on breakin. We have a lot of boaters here and no wake zones. So it is hard to run the motor the way they say in the manual.

I sent you a PM.

Thanks to all that gave me an awesome welcome. I will move on over to the rigging and motors section.

Happy boating,

Mike
