Hello there fella's from cold and rainy Alabama. It's been a while since I've been on, but I hope all is well. I come to you guys tonight for advice, and with a heavy heart. I think the time has come to part ways with my beloved Checkmate, but I don't know what I should ask for it. It is a 1980 21 ft Entertainer, with an I/O 350 I replaced in 1996 and have used for three or four summers with this engine. This boat has been in my family since it was brand new, and has always been kept in covered storage. Since I got it, I've had the clear coat resprayed to give it a shine like new (she's blue and silver metalflake) and had the seats custom recovered to match the originals from Checkmate. I have recarpeted the boat, and added a decent stereo with Bose marine speakers. Aside from replacing the engine with a Jasper marine engine, I've replaced the carburater, had the gimbal bearing and outdrive rebuilt, rebuilt the power trim pump, rewired the ignition, etc. etc. I have it looking and running as close to brand new as you can get a boat. It looks today like it did when my uncle brought it home when I was 9. I've spent over $13k restoring her, but I never expected to get that much back out of her. That isn't why I restored it. I was thinking around $8k ... what do you guys think?
