I'm famous! Cover and centerfold!

WILDMAN

Well-known member
A friend of mine in Michigan just sent me this pic. I guess I'm on the cover and centerfold of SPORTBOAT Magazine this month. He got it from Barnes and Noble bookstore. He's gonna send me the centerfold pics

Congrats man :thumb: I thought you might have snapped on that guy from the boat
wreck and got on the front page of a newspaper

Hope those pictures of you are "Used with Permission" :surf: :D Wasn't that from a Mercury ad? Trying to remember what/when that pic was taken.
Looking good Wildman! I haven't gotten a boating mag in a while, might have to stop off at Barnes after church.........................

nice shots its about time you got some recognition for the amazing work youve been doing your rigging is amazing and your performance numbers speak for themselves.
on a side note id never heard of this magazine im a subscriber to powerboating but it gets old reading about boats that i could never afford i might have to run down to barnes and noble myself

It's a new magazine from the publisher of HOT ROD Magazine. Notice it says Volume 1, issue 3. It's the 3rd issue.

congrats thats pretty cool!

i wonder why they blacked out the "checkmate" on the cover and not the centerfold? yet the fountain is visible on the cover. perhaps it was already on the pic they used?

Congrats! I have not heard of that magazine in this neck of the woods.....heck, I am hard pressed to find any kind of boating magazine around here in stores let alone a performance boating mag. I might have to look into subscribing to that.

Very cool Randy. We did this shoot in Sanford, FL two years ago. These images were originally shot for the Mercury Racing calendar. Here are some images from that shoot. I used a Nikon D300/Nikkor 70-200 AF-S F2.8/VR.
