Just got in a new Checkmate 28 OBX twin outboard

Very cool and thanx for the updates Randy. That's a pretty good speed for the first time out, hittin the rev limiters, and not dialed in.

I would be curious to see the results with the 300's. Super cool boat.

I have a question though, you said you thought the motors were too high, yet you said it jumped on plane in 3 seconds.

I thought if the motors were too high it would plane slowly. I know there is more to it than that, but what did it do or not do that makes you think the motors are too high?

If they are too high, they will lose bite when I try to trim them out. If they lose bite, the nose will drop and create more drag. Getting on plane, they are trimmed in.

How far below the hull are the motors setup right now. Your setup is already working better than mine. I am 4 in below the hull. Measuring in front of the nose cones with 24 bravos and not getting the results that you are. Nice boat should keep it for yourself
