Man! I love the new 300XS motors! 106.4 mph.

I just took a pre-delivery run today on a new 21 Liberator that I'm delivering to Oklahoma this week. I broke it in for an hour before opening it up. It ran 106.4 mph. Not bad for a 21ft boat. I ran a 32" four blade that was'nt even lab-finished. Only turned 6000 rpm.

NIIIIICE!

Looks like Autometer needs to build you a taller speedo..................

one question do these motore not require a very long break in time because to me i would think one would want a little more time on a motor before it is pushed close to its limits i know i would not want my new 17,000 dollar motor pushed that hard when it is brand new till it at least had 15 or so hours on it. It took me over 20 hours to break in my 300x before i pushed its limits.

Mercury says one hour at 4000-5400. Same with the 300x. Then you can let er go! I've talked directly to Mercury High Performance and that's what they say. It also says that right on the cowl sticker. They are run 1.5-2 hours before they are even shipped. I've checked brand new motors on the computer, and they usually have 1.7-1.8 hours on them.

The 300x held it at 5400 for 1-1.5 hours depending on load. The 300xs has no breakin limiter. I've had 14 of them this year.

WOW- thats movin!!

How much does the 250xs run new? (just dreamin) I priced out a 250xs locally and I think his price was a little high (pm me if you want). Thanks, Nick.

I sell the 250xs for $14,900 and no sales tax if you're not in Florida. $16,500 for the 300xs.
106 is okay, but I've had my twin up to 127.8 mph. Here's a slower run.
