new johnyrudes

Only my local dealer that sells smaller ones. So far so good according to him............

As you may have noticed, I'm a Merc. man myself, however I really hope the E-tecs work out. I think the competition would be good for Mercury. So far the E-tecs seem like they're working out really well.

The new rudes are hott here in Florida on the bigger bass boats---the pro boys say the 200 & 250s are bad ass on the heavier boats--they rig them with a 13 3/4---29 shooter prop and say they rock.

Own a 2002 115 2 stroke johnson on my skiff very good sound motor never let me down good fuel consumpion and fairly quiet low matinance.. I highly recomend Raker ss prop for these engines

Everyone I have talk to say that they are great no problems. Only more time will tell but I think they will be good.

I'm sure they rock & roll but this test compares two stroke vs. four stroke of course it will have a advantage, put those numbers up against any of the 2 stroke hi performance Mercs and sse how close they are. I guess I'm just black @ heart.

I'm sure the Verado is a good motor but have you seen them up close? They're so big they look like they would point a 21' Mate straight up. Standing beside the X-long shaft model at the boat show it towered above my 6' frame. Honestly, at 650 pounds I couldn't see putting it on anything other than an offshore fishing boat.

i'm a big a fan of black as most, but the emissions output of those e-tecs is amazing compared to so called "clean burning 4 strokes".
so much so that BRP is dumping 4 stroke tech and going with e-tec - this will be very interesting.
