What Checkmate's Are Pulled By...

Here's another.

it's not what you think...it belongs to my fiance. She thought it would be a good idea to have a backup tow vehicle be cause my 454 surburban is a piece of *&*&*. She makes up for my frirst wife who made me sell my switzer for a pontoon boat with a 40 hp...I'm in the trade show business...lucky to afford gas for the boat much less a new H2.

get this everyone i tried to pull my enchanter with my lil vw cabriolet cus my friend had my truck and it easily did it because my boat has about 4 lbs of toung weight but i wouldnt try to back it up the ramp i wouldnt be able to pull it back up only 96 hp isnt good for boats.....

Here are my tow rigs:
Tow Rig #1:

1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon
350 engine, EFI, tow package, posi- rear end, K&N Air Filter

Tow Rig #2:

1976 GMC C-20 1 Ton Pickup
396,459 miles Chevy 292 I-6 engine, Turbo 400 transmission, K&N Air Filter

I bought this from a friend back in 1994 with 386,000 miles. He was going to drive it to the bone yard. I told him that I would give him a ‘buck’ for it. So..He sold it to me for $1. I then welded a new floor in it, bought door skins and fenders. I then trashed the bed and built the wood one. Spent about $800 on it. Drove it until 2001 and then re-built the whole drive train and suspension. Weighs 4,500 lbs. with a full tank. Rides like a ‘tank’ empty. But, put some weight in on and it rides more like the Roadmaster. And it’s a gas pig. Coop’s Freightliner gets better fuel mileage. Luckily, there’s some boating areas close by.

1984 Predictor 1968 Mercury 1250 I-6 125HP

Thanks man. I try to think its pretty good mileage for the size. 7.5 mpg with 78,000 pounds at 75 mph across I-40 in Arizona is not so bad until I pump a hundred+ gallons a day into twin 150 gallon tanks. At around $2 a gallon.

Don't pull my Pulsare much it lives at the cottage but when I do it is usally my Denali or my wife's Avalanche. Wish I could tow it with the bike it would be a blast to see the look on faces of people. LOL
