What's wrong?

The reason guys don't like the idle stabilizer is it messes with the bias voltage on the switch boxes and has the potential to cook them (and the motor) if it malfunctions. I disconnected mine because it actually wasn't working anyway. It only kicks in if your RPMs drop below 550. If you do disconnect it, make sure you still have a white/black jumper between the switch boxes.

I have a similar problem with my boat(21' Starflight w/ 200 Merc). My condition worsened until I could not get on plane at all. I replaced the stator and then lost spark on the port side. I then replaced the swithbox and got my spark back. Now I can plane out, but shes still got a slight hesitation on startup almost like the motor is fouled and then clears out and then gets right on plane. I saw a previous post about adjusting the idle jet. How do you do that? It seems like if I could just push the throttle a bit further I'd be fine. Could the throttle controls be worn out and need replacing or adjusting?
