Winter plans 2010/2011

:offtopic: So JT, where were we?? OH Right! Are you really sure about dropping a corvette motor into the tow rig this winter?? ;)

Well, lets see how we should address your rude and unnecessary remarks.

Since you had your say in public, I shouldn't have to follow YOUR INSTRUCTIONS and keep my response in a private message. You have opened the flood gates, so here comes the water.

You opened a thread under Play To Win. This happens to be an open thread for any and all topics that don't fit any of the more specific catagories. "SO FAR NO HI JACK".

Next, you title the thread "Winter plans 2010/2011". That didn't mention any restrictions on info posted. Again "SO FAR NO HI JACK".

I only mentioned the Vette as part of my overall winter plans that coincide with the boat work. Again "SO FAR NO HI JACK"

The fact that winter asked a good question in a open thread is in no way a Hi Jack especially in an open forum with a non specified topic.

This winter I will still think you are a D!p Sh!t.:rof:

That being said, post away with your Corvette discussion.

I'll try and get this rolling again!
I'm going to Save up for add on hydraulic steering, order new gauges, new cables and some gel work done. Hope this winter fly's bye.

You should get some pics and some info about your boat posted, it looked great when I saw it over the summer.

I guess I was kinda harsh when all I wanted to do was keep things on track. So I have to apologize to Winter and JT for being a jack a$$. I will try to stay focused on why we are all here in the future.

I expect everyone thats working on winter projects to post some pics and words about it someplace on the forum.. don't want this place to get too boring ya know;)

The 357 was removed by Merc this fall and a 383 MPI will be put in this spring.

Looking forward to getting rid of the carb from hell 357 and replacing with the fuel injected 383 in my Senator. Maybe get an extra 1 or 2 mph out of it also.

I have long list since just bought a 95 Pulsare. Gonna be a long winter I think LOL.

-Current motor has dropped a cylinder so may either rebuild it or find a used ProMax 225 to replace it.

-Replace old hydraulic steering lines with new Teleflex hoses. Hopefully they will fit on the older style Hynautic.

-Install rigging hose to clean up splash-well.

-Replace current jackplate with hydraulic 10inch unit

-Install some LED lighting in cabin & make a lockable storage compartment.

At least I have nice warm storage for it all winter long so have nice place work on it.

Sheeesh, everyone from Michigan should have indoor storage! I've been there in the dead of winter, No fun! No good for boat! :)

I just finally got my personal piece of indoor storeage....but I miss-estimated and I have to add a few more feet onto the back of one bay to get my boat in straight......haha. Right now it takes two floor jacks and a few guys to get mine all the way in.....and takes up waaay too much space that way.

And some lovely and kind person (being extremely sarcastic here to keep things clean) STOLE my wood stove in the week before I closed on my new house with this nice barn......and chances are I'm screwed, and not in that warm squishy way either! ARGHHHHH! What is this world coming to?

Ahhh, you need an addition already :o I'm in the middle of planning out a pole barn on my property, to be constructed this Spring. I'm trying to foresee any boat beyond what i have now, size-wise, to make sure i don't run into the 'outta-room' issue. Right now the boat is 28'2" long from drive to tounge of trailer, so the building will have to be 30' long. That added almost $2000 to the cost! :shakehead:

go whatever size you think you need and add 10 feet no matter how big you build em they always fill up i have a trailer tongue sticking out of a garage door right now my bays are 36 ft deep never thought that would be a problem

Here's my winter project. Just bought it on ebay last night. 51" long, light weight, all graphics are in gell. Going to put my 6.7 horse power 29cc dominator in it. Thing should fly! Manufacturer claims mid 40's with a stock 26cc zenoah. boatman
