Just a little update for yal....we are building the hull mold now. Then we'll get started on the deck plug....still looking at sometime close to fall ....maybe the end of the summer.

Delete engine well.

Offer single or twin O/B hung on a Stainless Marine integrated platform/bracket. All hoses and harnesses through transom.

Full cockpit inner liner

Extend the cockpit back with sun pad.

Sit down bolsters through bolted into deck. No pedestal swivels.

Offer a closed bow with full cuddy and veeberth with optional partial cuddy with enclosed area for portapot opposite seat with storage (like Convincer 270 layout).

Get rid of dated glass windshields and integrate cowling/wind screen into deck mold like Powerplay, Velocity or Awesome Thunder.

Kip, Any idea what the weight will be. It would be nice if you could offer a lightweight version along with a reg. version. Keep in mind that allot of people would like the convinece of towing a lighter boat. lighter is also faster!

montiboats24, i like the Donzi's accept for the weight and the lack of room up front. Yea I agree the new Playmates look sharp. I could go for one of the new 23-24 footers with the playmates Flame graphics. I wonder if you could get them in a tri-color, Red, White, Blue, scheme

Another update for you guys......the hull mold is done. Starting work on the deck portion of the plug. We appreciate everyone's input.....but as you can tell by the post's we can't please everybody. The only thing i've seen mentioned that we are not doing is the well it will have regular O/B transomwell..."most" of the other stuff mentioned will be on it or available in some fashion. Once th e deck plug is alittle further along i'll get some picture's for you to see!

Kip,

Thanks for the update. Curious though. What drove the descision on the transom? Seems as though it would be easier, stronger and cheaper to fabricate a closed transom with heavy knee bracing rather than an intricate well. I realize the cost of brackets has to be factored in but the space and performance gains would be worth it not to mention it looks COOL!

Another update for yal......i sent Chris some pictures of the hull mold. Sure he'll post them when he gets a chance. I know you can't tell much by a mold picture but you can tell a little bit. In the next week or so i will have some pictures of the deck plug in progress......building the first hull this week to design the innerliner. It's coming along! Still looking at 2 months before it's in production!
