    '79 v-mateII value?

I have a '79 v-mateII restored with and E-tec 225HO on the back. Hydraulic jack plate with 6" setback and 4 I-Command NMEA 2000 guages. Any idea what it's worth? I know I don't have any pics posted but just assume it's in good shape. motor is 2006. thanks

shift cable has too much stroke

I figured it out - I had to turn the prop to allow it to go fully in gear:brickwall: - works like a champ now though

shift cable has too much stroke

I have a 1982 evinrude 175 but the old control was punched so I bought a new one. I bought two new teleflex cables which replace the #479's from evinrude. The throttle cable seems to work fine but the shift cable is a different story. It seems that the control has much more stroke that the...

    '79 v mate 2 restore

just a question about motor height. From what I can tell the cavitation plate is supposed to be at approx. same height as the pad. It also seems to me - if I understand correctly - that with a jackplate the cavitation plate would have to be higher than the pad. I have a 20"(i think) shaft and a...

    Checkmate Vs. Baja question

Did you make that up? It's GENIUS. I've NEVER heard that before. You should try to patent that before it's too late:rof::poke:

    Prayers needed

He's on my list. People like that are just not replaceable and although everyones time will come it's tough to take. Take care and know that if God is on your side everything will be OK

    Polished Lower Unit

If you can achieve a full mirror polish it will not eliminate corrosion but it will make it take a long time. It will also make it easier to maintain. The higher polish provides less tooth for the water to stick. Flitz is a great idea. When you have gone as far as you can with conventional...

    Truck Bed Liner

might be heavier - about a gallon of gas heavier. As far as the colour it will fade at the same rate as paint cause the paint is mixed in. It is not a surface colour but solid

    Truck Bed Liner

I haven't done it yet but I am in the process of preparing my boat for spray on bed liner. I'm using a product called Line X. It is available colour matched any colour and doesn't heat up in the sun (even black). Cost is about 10 bucks a square foot. This product is non-removeable, sticks to...
