    pulsare 2100 power problem

ok- so I'm starting to feel a little sick now. I just got off the phone with the boat shop manager, he said all they were going to do was run the same tests they had run before. He said it was showing compression, spark, etc on all six cylinders the last time they ran it but they'll do it again...

    pulsare 2100 power problem

So..... unfortunately the 5100 is a pretty hard top end right now. Up on plane at speed, trimmed out, dropped the throttle slightly and hit it again and still 5100. Any ideas? I'm going to talk to Robert's Marine (who I bought the boat from) and the boat shop again today but thought I'd look for...

    pulsare 2100 power problem

I have a hydraulic jack plate so I've moved the prop around a bit on a 12" setback. I will try the throttle adjustment technique the next time I have it out - probably tomorrow afternoon. Hope that's it. My home lake is kind of small - less than a mile long - so adjustments at speed are rare...

    pulsare 2100 power problem

Had the shop look at everything listed here, they found the tps slightly out of variance and replaced it. $150 part, $120 labor including the other checks. The boat is much better out of the hole, about 2 seconds to plane but the high end is still low 5k. Just got it back in the water yesterday...

    pulsare 2100 power problem

Thanks a ton guys. I talked to the shop today and will get the boat in for a checkup on the items you've mentioned. They work mostly with pontoon and fishing boats (not competition fishing boats) so they don't see the big boys too often. They were telling me straight off the bat that I was...

    pulsare 2100 power problem

End of last season I dug into some gravel on a hole shot with way too much weight in the boat. Put a few nice chunks and a wave in my tempest plus 25p. Engine (2004 Merc 225 EFI) got real shaky and I pulled the boat out. Prior to that I was getting about 63mph at 5400. holeshots were always...

    speed runs

Thanks guys. I'll have a couple of opportunities in September to run her on larger lakes. It's difficult to get many consecutive speed runs on my lake because, even if i'm alone on the water, it gets chewed up pretty fast. Nothing like a little cross wake wave action to get her flopping back and...

    speed runs

How much distance do you give yourself for a speed run? My lake is just under a mile long, kidney shaped with an island in the center channel. If I come out of the north end I can hammer down WOT for between 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile before I have to back off. I haven't been able to get it above low...

New guy needs all the advice he can get !!

Welcome to the Checkmate club. Given the condition of the interior components you want to be 110% sure that no rot has started. If you're not sure, find somebody who can tell you for sure. It will be cheaper and easier to fix it now rather that later. If the hull, floor and motor are solid you...

Nominations for June's boat 'o da month

The weather has not been very cooperative up here. Only snuck the boat out twice in marginal conditions for less than an hour and a half total. I'll have some shots soon, just not in time for this month.

    Baja Killer.....

Great story, your Pulsare IS a killer. Did you remove the 300x graphics like you talked about? Outlaw's are nice looking boats but don't compare to Pulsare!

    HEY KIP...Post that BLACK 2400!!!

Homer drools - "aaaggggggghhhhhhhhh". Not right to see that boat after having just bought my 2100. I was looking at the 2400 when I was shopping for my boat but it looked like they would start around 40k. You really need to run at least a 275 in them and those powerplants get expensive. Still...

    water dripping from dash

thanks guys, I had a look underneath this morning before I left for work. Couldn't detect any water on either of the nuts. I'll try to torque them a little first. I suspect the speedo because it didn't seem to read true and the amount of water seemed more than the little line to the water...
