    The Rebuild Begins

I'm sure it was caused by detonation the intercooler was hot when I opened the hatch. The boat is going to sit another year as I try to find another block. Everything from the deads down is trash and the heads will need to be cleaned up a bit. My wife and I are expecting our first child...

    The Rebuild Begins

Well the motor is out and apart and it's all bad. Looks like those stock Merc rods didn't like 850 HP.

Yeah, if it needs a rebuild I'm pulling the Procharger and I'll be happy with 600HP.

    The Rebuild Begins

85.1 at 5000 rpm and I had to let. Went to make a another pass, the boat was accelerating hard and then it sounded like it back fired through the carb pulled power back and the motor shut off. Looks like I at least lifted the head and I'm pulling the motor out this weekend to see what the...

    Convincor LS Swap Project Thread

I was scared just drilling the intercooler dump hole and holes in the dash for added gauges. I can't even image how much of a nervous wreck I would be cutting holes for the tail pipes. :eyecrazy::eyecrazy::eyecrazy:

    The Rebuild Begins

So it's been a while since my last update and that was mainly because, I was burnt out working on the boat after Cumberland. I rebuilt the head unit, got the boat ready for the Cumberland Poker run and headed down to the lake early to start getting the boat dialed in. Well, I couldn't get the...

A 283 project just getting started

I actually like the original better than the wrap, just not a fan of the tribal design but, to each their own. If you like it, that's all that matters.
