1975 Vmate restoration

Was just out looking at it again and sitting in it lol . Im still in shock . Cant believe this was the same boat I towed home last year , And to think I was gunna haul it to the dump !!! All I wanted was the trailer and the trim tabs ... If it wasnt for Sammie telling me to build this boat instead it would have for sure went to the dump . Thanks again my friend . I sure hope its back to Action Marine Standards ...

Thank You William

Thank You My Dear William. Yes Your New 15 ft Checkmate would Fit Right in with the Great Boats that I Built for My Action Marine Customers. I Wish You were 18 years old back then when Your Dad Bought his Checkmate From Me Instead of you being 2 years Old. I Would of Had You Working for Me and Built You a 100 MPH Checkmate like I did for My other Employees and my Brother Doug. Have a Great Weekend William and Best Wishes Always Your Friend Sammie Action Marine

Very nice job Will! looks better than new :thumb:

Thanks John . This has taken alot longer than expected . There is just so much going on Right now im really suprised it made it this far ... I just got home about 20 mins ago and as I walked through the garage on my way in I of course stopped and looked at the boat . I noticed a roll of wire on the floor of the boat so I started looking and my dad had been here running the wires while I was at work . About to go back out after I eat and see what all he did ....

Sammie That would be fantastic and I know we have talked about it before . If I ever get the time to do another boat . Well we will have to Sammie I still have some Action Marine stickers ...

Paul this thing belonged in the dump lol . I still to this day dont understand why people let things go to crap like they do . The Trimate II I have im the the 3rd owner and it still looks really good for being a 1976 . Than this poor boat the people just beat it to crap ... Ive almost spent twice what this boat cost new When Sammie sold it ... After the motor and a cover are made it will be over twice the original price . Its just crazy how much things have changed .....
