This week Im installing a CMC 6in back and 5 inch up hydraulic jack plate, and a bobs nose cone and a LWP. According to the guys at compeititon marine, I should gain anywhere from 5-7 mph..with the same prop, with the JP and and nose cone....
well here is what I got on my boat, its a 20 foot enchanter with a xr4, (2.4 liter, opposed to your 150 xr2 2.0 liter) and I dont have a jack plate or the motor raised at all, I have 1:87 ratio small lower unit, with just 3 holes for water pickup. I ran 54 at 5200 rpm, with a 24 pitch laser 2 prop. I dont know if its the newer style laser or the older style. Whether is jacking the motor up while the boat is beached on the shore, while im doing way to much drinking. Or if I drop it all the way down to do some skiing..Im going to have to test some props too..I was thinking a 24 pitch chopper for when I wanna go really fast and going back to the laser too when I wanna take the family out..
