Ii didn't make the 5 hr trip because of the weather. I'm now seeing I missed a great meet.
 
There is a very nice boat speed calculator on Bam marine web site. Believe it! Numbers don't lie, people do. GPS numbers only!
I have a lot of fun with my little bucket of bolts.
Btw. Answer is very close to 1000hp with everything right.kn
 
Just a little additional note to my last post. Horsepower isn't really what you are looking for when trying to go fast in a boat. It is torque numbers. To quote Carroll Shelby... Horsepower sells, Torque wins races.
 
I guess that's why they say there is no replacement for displacement. Big motors make a lot of torque. Thanks KN.
