What is your boat getting for next season?

well I just got my self a late christmas present for the boat a water pressure gauge since I have the jackplate on now I might need it. Plus I dont feel like giving kary a bunch of money to rebuilt it.:D

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!! Got a set of Teleflex White Premier gauges for Christmas from my parents and have the money in my wallet for a steering system! Time to get those stringers set. :thumb:

my christmas present

i am getting my 502 rebuilt as we speak to the tune of 500+ hp, a new outdrive resevoir, an amp with 15 inch woofers, an ipod turbo so i wont have to use my maindeck, and new trailer brakes. my wife and i decided not to buy each other gifts, but instead, put that money towards our convincer. after all the most important thing other than christmas is our checkmate!:banana:

man thats a great christmas present.

Boat will get a new home for this year. There really is not any other cool things left to buy, bolt, hang, or install on it.

Great thread!
- I've had my trailer repainted, new lights and rollers, tires and chrome wheels
- Have to get the exhaust bellow and shift cable boots replaced before spring
- replacing the "oh crap" strap on the passenger side dash board as the metal strap rusted away inside and broke loose.
- new automatic bilge pump

The day that my Girlfriend decides that new toys for the Checkmate are more imortant than her Christmas present will be the day that she gets a RING!

That is great!:thumb:

I'm getting a Stainless Marine 8" setback bracket for my Pulsare 2100. With my Bob's Jackplate I'll have 13" of setback....15" if I use my Bob's 2" spacers....

All teak is being replaced by grey King Starboard
New Prop
Aluminum grab handle on passanger side
New gauges w/red bezels
New Stripes

Oh yeah, hopefull get it running properly so it actually gets wet.

Most of the upgrades are done, waiting on a few more pieces, will post pics once it warms up and I can clean the boat up.

new prop, battery, skegguard, subwoofer, and trailer painted to match boat with alum diamond plat on the steps.

man the whole package looks so much better with a clean trailer. it wa a night and day difference when i did the trailer for my predictor. It was just black but I did the diamond plate on the steps. It looked great.

Yeah trailer is black but boat is that 79 apricot flake, having a hard time finding paint but getting closer. found diamond plate on the web 2 ft by 4 ft for 32 bucks it all should look pretty good except for the dark maroon cherokee pulling it!

I have pretty much decided on what I am doing with my tired ol' 502 fuelie.......bore and stroke to a 540....Dart Iron Eagle heads.....10.25 CR......Hardin Marine polished intake with 1200cfm throttle body and machined for fuel injectors.....nice cam (haven't decided on that one yet).....flat top pistons....h-beam rods....and roller rockers. The block, heads, and my EMI thunder manifolds will be Merc Racing blue topped off with chrome valve covers. I am hoping to make some real horsepower here yet retain the reliability and (somewhat) fuel economy of being fuel injected. After all of that....time to dyno and tune.

What ever credit I havent maxed out in the process of this will upgrade the stereo so I can actually hear it over my motor.

i make a real good passenger !!

I could probably make that happen! I hope you like to drink and just party in general because that is what the group I boat with does best! Hopefully we can organize some sort of a Saginaw River checkmate run like mentioned in another thread.

I can already forsee the installation of hydraulic steering in spring of 2010...granted I still have an outdrive to put it on...hehe
