    WTB Skid Planer for Starflite

Paul....PM me? This can't be rocket science, I can measure up and send pics for you. If you have a brake and can bend a few things and can weld something up so it doesn't flex, I'd be happy to work with you on it....not looking for 16 ga stuff, but certainly dont need 3/8 plate anything either....

    WTB Skid Planer for Starflite

Thanks for the info, I ahve looked on Screama nd Fly, about the best I can find is an Allison at this point, and it is kind of a cobbled together "universal" mounting system. This is so specialized, I may need to fab on, similar to the "box in" the top of the set back plate you were talking about...

    Hole shot plate

The logic of mounting it even with the pad is that it extends the stern of the boat a bit, and helps it plane out a tad quicker. I am going to make it myself out of .060 alum. and put extended risers on the side to meet the bottom of the JP, instead of just a flat piece attached directly to the...

    WATER STAINS

the stains are from the pores in the fiberglass getting clogged with very small particles of junk. I worked at a boat yard in college, we would ues Oxalic Acid (bought in bulk and cheap) mixed with water to make a very weak acid (like vinegar), brush it on and it would literally make the stains...

    Hole shot plate

I am considering putting a hole shot plate under my 13" of set back (5.5"CMC hydro jack + 8" CMC static set back plate") on my Starflite. I have seent hese things work wonders for hole shots, slow speed planing, and keeping spray and wash from coming up through the set back. I have seen them...
