1975 Vmate restoration

I'm sure you'll find some reason to go there from time to time and pull the plastic off. Are you planning to put the windshield back on?

Nice boat! I'm getting ready to do pretty much the same thing to my 72' mx16. I just bought it a week ago for $100. Needs new transom, floor, interior, and paint. Sure got my work cut out for me on this one :brickwall:but it will be sooooo worth it.

Will What did you use to glue the wood in place on the bottom? Did you Screw, nail or glue your small interior support boards? I'm rebuild ar 74 Trimate this winter and looking for the "How" you got them back to looking new.

I glued all the blocks with PL Premium and than screwed them down to the bottom 3/8 in board used in the bottom of the seat ..... I had done this before on my 1976 trimate II so this time around it was a piece of cake

It sure is alot of hard work but the end result will worth it . Mine has taken me alot longer than I wanted but I work so much its kinda hard . My dad would come over and do alot in the late afternoon while I was working . I was always nice when I would come home after working 10-14 hrs a night to see he had been here and did a few things ... My friend Sammie has been a VERY BIG HELP as well . I wish you the best of luck with your MX-16 im sure she will turn out GREAT :thumb:

Vance Mfg. makes a nice unit. My cousin has 3 boats and each has one.

4" - 6" and 10" and he likes them all. Clean and simple.

Well I have been away from home for 12 days and last night and today I dicided to tear this all the way down and degreased everything . Also replacing the dyna floats too .... The power head is tucked in it wooden crate waiting to be shipped down to South Carolina . My dad and uncle crated it all up while I was away...
