Starting floor stringer repairs

Kevin,

My suggestion is to use the relief under all bulkheads so the water
can drain to the transom.

And both stringers. You want to make sure if water ever got in on the outside of those stringers it's got a place to go.:thumb:Drill a couple of weep holes so water can get to the bilge area.

Yeah there will be zero way that water will sit in this boat. You can't see them but there are drains in both stringers and both bulkheads.

Question do you think I need to replace the center knee that came from the top down on the trans. I would like to use the trans stiffiner on top and bottom but can only use the bottom if the knee goes back in.

thanks

Add a horizonal brace on each side of the vertical knees and you should be fine. Look at my Enforcer transom picture.

I ended up replacing the center knee but modified it so the trans stiffiner will slip behind it. Worked out great, pic to follow soon, been making some progress.

Lookin Good

Kevin,

The boat is looking great. What is the large hole in the bottom for or is that a bilge pump mount ? Also did you take out the floating section that was under the fuel tank ?

Mike

The large hole in the bottom is for the depth gage shoot through transducer. I didn't replace the center section in the tank area, didn't feel it was needed since I'm not putting foam back in.

You did a great job, looks like the the work will pay off. Are you going back with carpet or pirelli?

Jealous......

Kevin,

 That looks great! I am itching to get mine really moving along. I have to kick it into high gear. Great work, what is the ply thickness and what type of fill did you use? Did you feather in the edges and fill with bondo or is it just a plain 90° edge cut to width and bondo fill ?

Mike
