Starting floor stringer repairs

The ply is 1/2 marine soaked with CPE and glassed on both sides. The stringers are 2X8s cut at the hull angle and bedded in and filleted with epoxy resin thickened with sphereical glass (thick like bondo). Some of the other filleting was done with the west systems pre-thickened resin (in the calking tube) which I loved working with but it was fairly expensive so most of the rest was done with bondo. Everything is covered in two layers of bi-axial matex and the resin I used was system three which was very easy to work with.

Yeah I liked the idea of more cooler space. Got the ring and cover off ebay like you did. I only wish I would have built in some insulation the ice melts pretty quick.

I had a raised subfloor (with a drain hole at the rear) in my locker to keep things dry and the inside was carpeted. It was great for towels, purses or quick access to snorkle gear!!

Yeah I did the same with the sub floor and drain. I just wish I would have taken the time to glass in kind of insulation since my plan was to use it as a cooler. Its amazing how much faster the ice melts compared to the cooler I had made for under the back seat. The back seat cooler will keep ice in it all weekend no matter how much I go in it.

that is white Bilge Cote paint. Got it at west marine
