What is your boat getting for next season?

hey jallen, the only prob with those is the Ipod has a 1 volt or less output for the audio. most low end head units have 2 volts and a high end unit will have 4 volts or more.

even if you turn the volume on the ipod up and the gain on the amp all the way up you will not achieve the amps full potential output. The audio cable you have pictured above will work fine. you may want it to be louder though. :bigthumb:

Yes. I've considered that. If it doesn't work out, I'll consider adding a head unit mounted on some sort of custom fabbed "drop down from under the dash" bracket, or something. I really just don't want to dash mount a unit.

1. Replace tow vehicle
2. Replace trailer
3. Add aux fuel tank
4. Add power stern light
5. Add pull up cleats/bezels
6. Add 7" setback/4 " height with engine bracket
7. Reduce Chine Walk
8. 28" Lightning ET Pro prop
9. Goal - 95 MPH on GPS!!!!!

Where can i find a power stern light..is it easy to install ?? What do they run $$$ ??
Thanx
Pierre

Joe- Have you looked at simonmotorsports.com? They have a few upgrades to your 300X at a semi reasonable price. He is claiming 2-3 mph over a stock X.

Good luck-
SCT

I got a 26" Chopper on the way!!!

Still looking for 70. :brickwall:

hmm this will make for a fun summer if we can ever actually get together and have a run.

I have a new stereo sitting in my closet for next summer, I am also in need of a bilge pump, other than that nothing special here. I am hoping for a black motor in the next few seasons.

REBUILT MOTOR, EDELBROCK HEADS, INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. FROM A DONOR CORVETTE BLOCK. BECAUSE MY BLOCK WAS CRACKED WHEN I BOUGHT IT . SOMEONE SMEARED EPOXY ON THE CRACK AND SOLD IT. AND I UNFORTUNLY BOUGHT IT.WHEN I PULLED THE MOTOR I FOUND A FEW THINGS LIKE A DENTED OIL PAN. A DIFFERENT CAM WAS INSTALLED, IT HAD 395 STAMPED ON THE END WITH A BLUE RING OF PAINT . ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT IT, IS OR NOW TO TELL? THE CAM FOR THE DONOR (NEW ) BLOCK IS A ZZ4.

New stereo and speakers along with some interior lighting. Anyone have any ideas what this may cost or who I should have to install it. I have talked with Waves and Wheels out of the Ozarks, but they seem a bit expensive.

I think any place you take a boat to for stereo or lighting installation will be top dollar.

Just to have mine back in one piece and running!!! Right now it and the motor both are all over the garage, the block is in the machine shop, new pistons, reeds, bearings and balanced crankshaft are on the way here....

I actually just got my Simon powerhead together in November but things got too cold too fast. I did get to drop it in the water and run it on the trailer. I can't wait to see what happens next year ! I'm hoping to see 90+ like some other guys around here. I will probably send my lower out for a cone over the winter unless I can find a reasonable sportmaster with 1.62's ?!

man, i dont know if it was a good idea to start this thread. I am all amped to get working on my boat but can not. :brickwall: Come on spring!!!!!

Great thread Matt! Ironically, I'll be installing the tach that you donated, plus throwing some hard labor at the shine and replacing the bilge pump that was wired with solid conductor flat house cable (previous owner).
For now, I'm just trying to forget that I have a boat- spring is still a lot of COLD days away.

I hear you on that. My floor is out and I cant work on putting the new one in until spring. My boat does not fit in my garage any more and its out at kary's place.
