    Fish/Depth finders??

I bought a Humminbird pirahna max 150 from wal-mard for $85 cdn on sale from $100. Shows depth and the fish....good nuff for me. A GPS unit would run you approx $1000 (from what i have found) but you do get alot of goodies for that price. Good companies are Humminbird, Lowrance and Garmin.

Hey there...gonna be a noob for a bit...

Defenetly a V-Mate-I I also have a 77'. Mine came with the cap tho. I have been looking to seer what the original interrior looked in them. Mine was gutted too. Only thing left was the 2 front seats falling apart, and some foam from the back seats that my dog now lays on. Looks good still tho...

    Turning a 85 Evinrude into a 150 Evinrude

LMAO, I would LOVE to buy a Merc. That's what my wife deals with but she won't let me spend the $$$ on a new one....not yet. I'm heading to the local Evinrude dealer to get a specs list on both motors to see what would be needed.

    Turning a 85 Evinrude into a 150 Evinrude

Ok, did some research and found out the 115 and 140 of that year had the same blocks as the 85 and 90. Apparently the most I will have to do is buy the new Carbs. Any comments at all welcome.

    Turning a 85 Evinrude into a 150 Evinrude

Then maybe it was just up to a 90. Not much use doing that.

    Turning a 85 Evinrude into a 150 Evinrude

I have a 85 evinrude and i was told that by changing the timing and the carb injectors (never heard of them) i could have a 150. This is due to the fact that everything else is the same. Anyone know if this is the truth or am I being lead stray? My wife works at a marina as a manager and i was...

    burst hydraulic line

I personally look for a cheap alternative but with quality. If it is a rigid aluminum line I would take it off by loosening the 2 screw fittings and take it to a automotive mechanic. Sometimes they cam re-make them since brake lines are the same design. Made my own for my 80' 85 Hp evinrude...

    77 V-Mate-I Restoration

Trim Tabs? I have 2 old school trim tabs on the back end. Their cast aluminum with a threaded turn buckle to adjust them. Can I safely remove them since the motor has electric tilt/trim? They have been damaged by previous owners resulting in the trailer breaking off the corner of each of them.

I want to get started on my restoration this year. I bought the boat off of a guy....who bought it off of a kid who wanted to make it a drag boat. Now I'm stuck with all of their mistakes. Question #1: Where can I get a new winsheild? Any ideas? Question #2: Graphics....looking for...

    2010 Muskoka, ON Checkmate Rally

I'm looking forward to it this year. Last year my boat wasn't in any condition to show it's ugly head. Plus I was working. I'm hoping this year i will have it in viewable condition.

Where can i get those Rigging Tubes for by 150 Mercury?

That's prob. even cheaper than the actual loom and just as effective.

Where can i get those Rigging Tubes for by 150 Mercury?

do you mean wire loom?..or lume? It's like a flexable covering to keep all the wires and hoses together and ultimately "covered". Check with any store or shop that does car audio installations. Sometimes they use it to keep wires together in engine compartments and esthetically pleasing.
